“Pre-wedding shoots provide you with the chance to, discuss your plans with me at length, for me to get to know you and see what your priorities are for your wedding, for you to learn how to relax in front of the camera, for you to get great images of you both at a wonderful time in your lives, and to have the opportunity to produce some images you can use for the wedding celebrations. So let’s get out there, have a coffee, chat and take some photographs.”

Pre-wedding photography or engagement sessions are great fun. They allow us not only to chat about your wedding day and all the wedding details that you’re planning but they also give you an excuse to become accustomed to being photographed. This is one less worry before your wedding day, and I’ve found that couples really appreciate getting to know their photographer as much as I enjoy getting to know them. I usually schedule a chat and a portrait session into pre-wedding shoots so that we can catch up about your plans and do the shoot.

A pre-wedding session usually creates at least 50 lovely images of you both, and couples often use these for invites, wedding day decoration and signing frames or books. Don’t worry if it’s not your thing though as that’s fine, I promise I won’t hold it against you and we’ll no doubt still have a great time recording your wedding day.
